Establishment
The First and Emergency Aid program was examined in the Gölhisar Vocational School of Health Services, Department of Medical Services and Techniques at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting dated 11.08.2010, and it was deemed appropriate to open the program pursuant to Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547 amended by Law No. 2880. It started education with a quota of 60 in the 2018-2019 academic year and student admission is still ongoing.
Mission
To train qualified health professionals equipped with knowledge, skills, and ethical values in the field of emergency health services. In this direction, we aim to train individuals who can effectively intervene in emergencies, have strong communication skills, are prone to teamwork, and value human life by providing our students with theoretical and practical training.

By continuously improving our education quality, we aim to be a pioneering program that closely follows scientific and technological developments and contributes to a healthy and safe life for society.
Program's purpose
To train health technicians who can provide basic and advanced life support to patients and injured individuals in pre-hospital emergency health services, recognize all kinds of system traumas and apply appropriate emergency approaches, ensure the safe transportation of patients or injured individuals who have received initial interventions to hospitals by ambulance, show a tendency for lifelong development, communicate effectively, have high teamwork skills, have developed the ability to recognize and solve problems, make a difference, and have sufficient knowledge and skills in their field.
Program's objectives
The objectives of the first and emergency aid program include applying basic life support, knowing the indications for oxygen therapy and applying oxygen therapy with appropriate equipment, ensuring correct airway management, performing bleeding control, and applying advanced life support practices. Additionally, effectively performing drug and fluid applications within the scope of duties, authorities, and responsibilities, using automatic or manual external defibrillators, ensuring the immobilization of the casualty or patient, transporting the casualty or patient with correct equipment and appropriate transport techniques are among these objectives. Performing effective triage in the field in cases of multiple injuries or disasters, ensuring communication with the command control center and other organizations, establishing cooperation with team members and employees in other organizations are also important. Effectively evaluating the patient's condition through physical examination and other diagnostic methods, ensuring the use, maintenance, and control of the ambulance, and ensuring the safety of the scene and the casualty/patient are also among the program's objectives. &
